It is possible to learn new skills from an old pet it is, it seems, because Diablo 4 Gold now supports DLSS on computers that have Nvidia compatible graphics cards.
Deep Learning Super Sampling lands with the game's new 2.3 patch, as well as some small audio and visual changes. For the uninitiated, DLSS uses high-end Nvidia GPU Tensor Core AI processors to increase the image quality of a game without the same knock to framerate performance that you would experience if running the game at a native high resolution.
This of course is in addition to Diablo 4's already-enhanced visuals, which took the classic 20-year-odd game and modernized it to fit new PCs and games consoles.

For those who don't know, DLSS uses high-end Nvidia GPU Tensor Core AI processors to upscale the image quality of games without the same negative impact to framerate as you'd get if playing the game in high resolution natively.
It's on top of Diablo 4 already enhanced visuals that took the iconic 20-year-old game and modernized it for new PCs and games consoles.
But the implementation of DLSS still needs some work it seems. There is a blurring occurring to the game after using this DLSS option, which is an unintentional negative side effect. It's possible that this issue could be resolved fairly quickly because Diablo 4 seems to be running an older version of the DLSS technology that is not currently available.
An odd idea for DLSS?
Diablo 4 seems like an unique game to be able to pass through the rigors of DLSS processing. It's true that the game is based on a 20-year-old 2D original, and even its remake requires only the smallest of system requirements. It's an Intel Core 2 Duo or AMD Athlon 64 X2 5600+ processor with 6GB of RAM, 25GB of storage and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 260 or ATI Radeon HD 4870 or more are the minimum requirements to experience a good gameplay.
But as we chase ever-higher resolutions and 8K being the new lofty target to hit at 60 frames per second frame rate, even games such as Diablo will appreciate the assistance with a tiny amount of AI processing can give.
Diablo IV Gold is a well-considered return to a beloved title. In our four-star Diablo 4 review, we called it a "it's a perfect, nostalgia-fuelled path to Diablo 4's release date that is ephemeral as well as a great background lesson in a title that has become the basis for a myriad of modern classics to follow."
