It was a year of terror for the British public as terrorists struck in the heart of tourist London, as friends enjoyed an evening out and as youngsters attended a pop music concert.

And in North London a final terror attack saw innocent people mown down by a crazed right-winger late one night.


Four days of madness would see 36 innocent people lose their lives, among them children and a police officer, six terrorists would lie dead with another facing life behind bars and hundreds of members of the public injured.

The personal consequences of those four catastrophic days continue to be felt in increased vigilance by the security services on Britain's streets.
